Lily Pads Bring Sense of Calm During Hospital Treatments
In his Eagle Scout community service project, David Clark, a 15‑year‑old Boy Scout from Palo Alto, created 110 hand‑decorated IV lily pads for young patients at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. Each colorful platform attaches to the base of an IV pole, giving kids something cheerful to ride on during treatments and a chance to feel a bit more human in a clinical setting.
